North Lodge is our lovingly restored detached
riverside cottage in the West Highland village
of Ford which lies at the southern end of Loch
Awe about 2½ miles from Kilmartin off the
Lochgilphead to Oban road.
The cottage, formerly the lodge at the entrance to the Ederline Estate, is ideally situated for holidaymakers to enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities including walking, riding, boating or fishing. The area is rich in history with many castles to explore and the early Celtic remains which are all around with the spectacular burial sites around Kilmartin which now has a fine visitor and Interpretive Centre. Cross the ‘Bridge over the Atlantic’ to Seil Island and go on to explore the Isle of Luing or visit Easdale Island with its small museum. Oban is within easy reach with the opportunity for day trips to the inner Isles of Mull and Iona [ more info ]
